February Recap: Nourishment, Movement & Simple Wellness in Action
As we step into a new month, I love taking a moment to reflect on the small, intentional choices that shaped the past few weeks. February was a beautiful blend of nourishment, movement, and simple wellness habits—proof that living well doesn’t have to be complicated.
This month, I focused on embodying my 5 Keys to Wellness: Food, Movement, Mindset, Sleep, and Connection. From sharing nutrient-dense recipes to staying consistent with my 65-day walking challenge, February was a reminder that when we commit to small, sustainable habits, they add up to something powerful.
Nourishing from the Inside Out
Food is fuel, but it’s also medicine, comfort, and connection. This month, I shared several recipes that support gut health, reduce inflammation, and keep meals simple yet satisfying:
• Haddock Recipe – A delicious, protein-packed meal that’s light yet nourishing.
• Flax Bun & Flaxseed Bread – High in fiber and omega-3s, these are great alternatives to traditional bread.
• Late Winter Glow Salad – Seasonal eating at its best! This salad was packed with fresh, vibrant ingredients to nourish both body and soul.
• Breakfast Grab-and-Go Muffin – Because busy mornings shouldn’t mean skipping a nutritious start to the day!
Each of these recipes was designed with anti-inflammatory eating in mind, making it easy to nourish your body without overcomplicating meals.
Moving with Intention
Movement is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. It strengthens our bodies, clears our minds, and keeps us energized. This month, I stayed committed to my 65-day walking challenge, proving that rain, shine, or snow, there’s always time to move. I also shared a strength training workout—a key part of maintaining muscle mass and staying strong, especially as we age.
Mindset, Rest & Connection
Wellness isn’t just about what we eat or how we move—it’s also about how we rest, recharge, and connect with the world around us.
Some of my favorite moments this month were the simplest:
• Sipping coffee from my “Love You” mug while listening to the birds outside—a small, mindful moment of gratitude.
• Snuggling in bed, because prioritizing rest is just as important as everything else.
These quiet moments are reminders that wellness is about balance, not perfection.
Keeping It Simple & Walking My Talk
As a holistic health coach, I believe in making wellness simple and sustainable. My KISS (Keep It Simple Sister) approach is all about focusing on what truly matters: Food, Movement, Mindset, Sleep & Connection.
February was a month of putting these principles into action—not just for myself, but as inspiration for the incredible community of women I’m honored to support. If there’s one thing I hope to show, it’s that small, intentional choices lead to a vibrant, healthy life.
