Green Bean Fries (air fryer OR Oven)


These air fryer green bean fries are amazing! They are wonderful as an appetizer or a healthy alternative to fires!


I love serving them during football games or as a side dish to my black bean burgers!


Either way they are a fabulous addition to any meal or gathering!


You won’t be disappointed if you give these a try!

Green Bean Fries

Ingredients:

* 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

* 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

* 1 teaspoon garlic powder

* 1 teaspoon onion powder

* 1 teaspoon paprika

* 1/2 teaspoon salt

* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

* 1 pound green beans stem ends trimmed

* 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

* 2 large eggs whisked

* 1/2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

Dipping Sauce Ideas:

* Parmesan peppercorn dressing

* Ranch dressing

* Blue cheese dressing

* Honey mustard sauce

* Marinara sauce

Instructions

* Add the panko, parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to a shallow container. I used foil for a quick and easy clean up. Stir to combine.

* Add flour to a second shallow container

* Crack the eggs into a shallow bowl and whisk.

* Rinse the green beans and pat them dry. Working in batches, add them to the container with the flour. Toss to coat the beans.

* To coat the green beans in the breadcrumb mixture, shake off the excess flour, dip it in egg and let the excess drip off, and then coat in the panko mixture. Repeat until all the green beans are coated.

* Preheat an air fryer to 390F. Once hot, lightly brush the bottom of the air fryer basket or trays with oil. Arrange the coated green beans in the basket so they aren’t touching each other. Air fry until golden, about 6 to 7 minutes (no need to flip them). Repeat until all the green bean fries are cooked.

* These can also be baked in the over @425 degrees for 20-25 minutes depending on your oven. You just want the beans to be golden brown and cooked through.

* Serve green bean fries warm with any dipping sauces you like.

Homemade Ranch Dressing

3/4 c avocado oil

1/4 c Greek yogurt

1 egg

1 tsp  parsley

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

1/2 tsp pepper

Immersion blend (store in fridge)
