Healthier Pizza (Dough)

This is the easiest and fastest pizza dough I’ve ever made! It's really so good!!

Why make your own?

It’s much healthier than store bought doughs or take out! check and compare ingredients and you'll see what I mean:

This recipe uses less flour than conventional dough making it lower carb (less sugar!!) and the Greek yogurt adds protein along with calcium.

The entire dough making process should take about 15 minutes! It's just so easy!

Feel free to top yours any way you like, but I’ve included mine for reference!

Healthier (2 ingredient) Pizza Dough

Ingredients

Pizza Dough:

* 2 cups self-rising flour

* 1 cup full-fat plain Greek yogurt

Toppings:

* 3 Tablespoons (about) Boursin garlic and herb cheese or to taste

* Trader Joe’s Calabrian chili pasta sauce (or your fave)

* 1 large ball of Burrata cheese broken up and spread around

* Mozzarella balls (cherry size) cut in half

* 1//2 lb Trader Joe’s chicken sausage, cooked

* Fresh basil to taste

* Sprinkle of dried oregano

* Hot honey to drizzle

Instructions

Pizza Dough:

* Preheat oven to 450°F. In a large bowl, use a sturdy spatula to combine flour and yogurt until mixture clumps. Dump mixture onto a lightly floured work surface. Work flour into dough. It will feel stubborn, but just stick with it!

Knead dough together by hand for about 5-8 minutes, until dough is smooth and elastic. Dust with additional flour as needed if dough is too sticky.

 The whole dough making process shouldn't take more more than 15 minutes.

* Roll dough out to a 13-inch circle. Place on pizza tray, cookie sheet, or baking sheet. Spread softened Boursin cheese over dough, Next, spread sauce leaving about an inch around the perimeter. Then add the Burrata and the mozzarella. Top with cooked chicken sausage. Sprinkle on fresh basil and dried or fresh oregano.

* Bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese has melted and the crust and browned.

* Drizzle with hot honey

I love serving my pizza with arugula dressed with balsamic vinaigrette or a glaze.

Hope you try this one and..

As always…I hope you enjoy!
